Garages and motor trade
Let them send the photo of the damage before they come.
One photo and four details save half an hour on the phone and let you order the part before the car comes through the door.
The quote form collects a description of the fault, one or more photos, the registration and the contact details, so the workshop can prepare an estimate and a part before the vehicle arrives, with the rules on written quotes explained where the customer reads them.

A photo is worth ten minutes on the phone
Describing a dent over the phone is an exercise in imagination. A photo of the bumper, of the lit warning light or of the broken part tells you in two seconds whether it is bodywork, whether a part needs ordering and whether somebody should look at it before quoting a figure. And it avoids the classic «I thought it would be less» at the counter.
A written quote is not optional
Spain’s Royal Decree 1457/1986, which regulates vehicle repair workshops, builds the relationship with the customer around two documents: the quote and the deposit receipt. Having your site explain that properly is not legal decoration: it is the fastest way for a suspicious customer to understand that here things are put in writing.
What the form should ask for
- What is wrong with the car, in the customer’s words and without jargon.
- Make, model and year, which is what determines the part.
- Registration, if you want it to prepare the job card.
- One or more photos, which is what really changes the conversation.
- How and when they prefer to be answered.
And answering, which is half the job
A quote form without a fast reply is worse than none: the customer has already written to three workshops. The request reaches your inbox and your phone, and the site states how quickly you genuinely answer. Promising an hour and taking two days costs more than promising nothing.
What we do about it

Frequently asked questions
Can I give a fixed price on the website?
You can give an estimate and say it is an estimate. The formal quote happens with the car in front of you, which is what the rules require and what avoids arguments.
Is a written quote compulsory?
The relationship between workshop and customer in Spain is governed by Royal Decree 1457/1986, which revolves around the quote and the deposit receipt. Explaining it on the site saves you half the difficult conversations.
Can I keep the photos people send?

Is a registration personal data?
Linked to a person, yes. It is asked for to handle the repair and explained in the privacy policy; it is not published and not shared.
