Building and renovation

Let them send photos and measurements before you go.

Half a visit is saved if the client says beforehand what they want done, with photos of how it is now and a rough idea of the area.

The quote form collects what work is wanted, photos of the current state, an approximate area and the timing, so the company can decide whether it fits and prepare the visit rather than spending it finding out the basics.

The visit that should never have happened

Everybody in this trade knows the wasted visit: two hours of driving to discover the client wanted something else, that the budget in their head is half what the job costs, or that they already have somebody and only wanted a second opinion. With four details and three photos, that visit gets filtered before anybody gets in the van.

What is worth asking

None of that commits anybody to anything and all of it helps prepare the conversation. The budget range can be asked or not; some clients find it uncomfortable and in exchange it filters enormously.

Answering fast is half the sale

In renovation, whoever answers first usually wins, because the client asks for three quotes and the one that arrives first sets the reference. The request reaches your inbox and your phone, and the site states how quickly you genuinely answer. Promising a reply within 24 hours and keeping it is a surprisingly cheap competitive advantage.

And the quote in writing, with what it does not include

The part that prevents conflict is not the price: it is the list of what is not included. Waste removal, permits, unexpected pipework, final painting. Saying it from the start is appreciated, and it fits the prior information Spain’s Consumer Protection Act requires before contracting.

What we do about it

Part of the maintenance: you never have to ask, and it is never billed apart.

  • A form with photos Several images of the current state, compressed on upload.
  • The details that filter Type of job, size, timing and whether the house is occupied.
  • Alert by email and phone To answer before the other two quotes do.
  • A stated response time The real one, and kept.
  • What is not included, explained Waste, permits and surprises, said from the start.
  • A privacy note What happens to photos of their home and to their details.

Frequently asked questions

Can I give a price without seeing the job?

You can give an indicative range per square metre and type of job, making clear it is indicative. The real quote comes out of the visit.

Does asking for so much put people off?

It depends how much. Five fields and some photos, no. Fifteen fields, yes. It gets tuned and we watch how many complete it.

Can I use the photos people send?

To prepare the quote, yes. To publish them in your gallery, the client’s permission is needed.

What if the client is only comparing prices?

That will always happen. The form does not prevent it: it makes it cost you two minutes instead of half a morning.

How many visits do you make that never become jobs?

Filtering before you get in the van is the most profitable improvement in this trade. We build the form and you try it.
