Tourist accommodation
The last question before booking.
Almost nobody books a whole house without asking something. If that question is easy to ask, the booking arrives; if not, it goes elsewhere.
The property’s WhatsApp button opens a conversation with the house’s number and with the message already begun according to the page, and it serves both the question that precedes the booking and the arrival itself, with the answering hours stated so nobody expects a reply at dawn.

The question that decides the booking
Booking a whole house for a week is nothing like booking a table. There is nearly always one question left: whether the track is fine for an ordinary car, whether the cot is available, whether a late arrival is possible, whether the pool is heated. That question competes with the effort of asking it, and in a language that is not yours it competes even harder.
The button makes it cheap: one tap and the conversation opens with the message already begun, different depending on the page it was pressed from.
And afterwards, the arrival
The second moment WhatsApp saves the afternoon is the arrival: where the key is, which junction to turn at, what time they will get in. Having that channel open and announced prevents missed calls and travellers driving round a dirt track with no signal.
Hours, so as not to promise what you will not give
If you answer from nine to nine, say so. A button that implies instant attention and then answers the next day subtracts more than it adds. For out of hours there is the form, which promises a reply within 24 hours and keeps it.
Without giving out your personal number
A number belonging to the house gets published, not anybody’s mobile. And the number of whoever writes to you is personal data: it is there to answer that enquiry, not for a broadcast list with low-season offers. That has to be asked for separately, on top of what the WhatsApp Business messaging policy already limits.

What we do about it
Part of the maintenance: you never have to ask, and it is never billed apart.
- A button on the site and the property page Where the question comes up, while looking at photos and dates.
- The message already begun Different per page, and in the language of that version.
- Visible answering hours So as not to promise an instant reply at three in the morning.
- The house’s number Never a personal mobile unless you decide it.
- A form as the alternative For whoever prefers to write calmly or attach something.
- A privacy note What you do with that number, said in two lines.
And this you change with one sentence
You write what you want changed and we publish it.
Put WhatsApp on the directions page too

Frequently asked questions
Do I answer every question myself?
As many as you want. Plenty can be avoided by telling things properly on the site: the track, the cot, the check-in time. The button is for what is left.
Is it for closing the booking?
It is for settling the doubt and leading to the booking. The agreement is better set down in the confirmation than in a chat.
What if they write in a language I do not speak?
It happens, and it gets sorted. What matters is answering quickly and clearly; the language works itself out with what everybody uses today.
Can I send offers to somebody who wrote to me?
Not on the strength of that enquiry. It has to be asked for separately with an easy way to opt out.
